Hello,
I posted a little while ago, as I had an invasion of wax moth on a weak colony - it was suggested I unite it, as the season is rapidly drawing to a close - which I did. I removed the (by then) decimated frames, and united them with a stronger nuc - they are now doing very well.
However, in the hive next door, which is somewhat stronger, I found a larvea in the comb during my inspection at teh weekend.
I removed said larvae, and squished an adult moth on the outside of the hive - but I thought in a stronger colony, they should have dealt with this themselves?
Should I be concerned?
