I would say a table saw does 90% of all my needs, good purchase you won't regret it, safety first mind.

I value my fingers greatly .. two push sticks at all times ;) .. i have wanted one for years and finally took the plunge.. i bought a mitre/chop saw a few month back and with these two pieces of kit i will be able to make virtually anything i need from wood.

I got distracted... and it bloody hurt!

Safety first

One of my most valuable tools is a multi cutting tool. One of those things that you don't know how you managed before you get one!

The fences on those saws are crap, I had the Lidl version. Binned it after only a few months and splashed out on a 110V Makita site table saw - far superior.

Make your own fence, first job then away you go.

Even with my 110V Evolution table saw I have to use quick grip clamps to keep the fence straight and parallel.... wish I had never sold the thicknesser I had.. to heavy to move and had to have a 3 phase converter... the lightweight table saw has the advantage of compactness... legs are useless unless a few modifications to stability are made.
Lidl also have an "ash vac" on sale... dust collector?
