Super 1 / comb and foundation

Hi there

My two single broods are boiling with bees on all frames. Small quantity of drones flitting about in each. First inspection showed no QC activity.

But I only have 7 spare supers with comb. Can I add 3 and 4 frames in each central section of each super 1 and reduce the chance of swarming (which I understand you get if you just add only foundation frames)?

Errhummm...You may wish to use a single brood box. But your duty as a beekeeper is to provide the queen with the laying room she needs (or doesn't need). If she requires a double brood box then you give her one. Your feelings and wants don't come into it.
