I may have a quantity of sugar syrup mixed in with a full national super of honey. Is it edible still or should I dispose of it?

In September I harvested all my supers and left two on as they were both half full. I then began sugar feeding in October.
I learned last week that only one super should be left on over winter as too much space can make the bees cold!

Problem is, the super I have removed is totally full and I'm not sure if it has sugar syrup in or not from the feeding.

What would you advise?

Errr.. At my place bees never died of cold.. If it is my hive I would leave it if have no other hives to distribute the surplus of stores. In spring it will mean gold for you when swarming start and it can be used for the splits..

Other way in late winter, early spring as stimulative feed:

Forgot: If You are taking the super off, place it in cold room and won't have any problem with wax moth or that something will happen to it..

If the sugary honey tastes OK to you, then you can use it for your own purposes but not sell it of course.

Keep it for next autumn and you won't have to feed at all!

it will taste like Chinese Honey, that is thought to be adulterated by fructose, some countries have 1st class honey (pure honey) and 2nd honey as the feed sugar in dearths
