I put a super under the BB this winter which seems to have worked well; have strong colony (treated 8 frames with o/a this winter). When is a good time to check and put it back above BB with Q/E or completely remove it if it's empty; is this week too soon with warm temperatures forecast. Bees flying very strongly taking in loads of pollen. Would welcome your thoughts,

One of mine overwintered thus last year. It came off completely at first inspection on 25th March.
Too early now, even if it's warm, to be disturbing the colony. It would be a nice baffle against the winter still to come even if empty.
