Any scientific research done comparing re liquified honey and crystallised honey from the same batch ?
Just curious if taste or consistency is altered

One is runny and one is set solid so you really answered that part of your question.

If treated with care I would suggest none or very little as some appears on show benches annually.

Do you mean to say that some of the honey show entrants present the same pot of honey year after year?
