Did the first check on my hives today and found that the queen's are laying in the super's as well as the brood box in 2 of my hives, couldn't find the queens so thrown on qx and left the supers on top, what should i do next, my plan is to check them again in 3-4 days to see if the queens are in the super, should the super be moved below the brood or leave on top, if so why.

Supers where left on because the bees decided to fill them late in the season instead of cleaning them.

thanks

Edit

reread it got it now lol

Yes, I have just found that some of mine are up in the supers as well.

I took the crown off, gave them a bit of smoke and checked the frames.

As far as I can see the queens moved down into the brood and I put on the QX's.

Will repeat if necessary after a week!

Now Tractor Man ticked me off for calling a super a super, when it is patently obvious to anyone that a super is not a super but a shallow brood box or a half if queenie has been in there laying away !!

Suppose you could always put the super, |I mean shallow brood box beneath the brood box and call it a half brood box, but what if you are using 14 x 12 or commercial brood boxes....
I've got it... a SUPER Brood Box !!!

10/10 for pedanticity me thinks !!!
or is it pedantociousness?
