This is an enlarged photo of the board under my hive following prescribed 6 week Apivar treatment. I am assuming that the mini M&M's are varroa and submit this for information of other novices. I left the wing in shot for size comparison. These mites were not visible to me in hive inspection ( a previous post refers) but their remains are only just countable across the whole of the board after treatment.
I have two full size brood boxes the lower of which is actually brood and the upper one holding most of the winter stores. Although accessible to the queen, there is no brood up there. Have I got these the right way up for winter survival or should I put the stores box underneath?
