noticed today the bees had found the local oil seed rape, little dot on heads both going in and comming out of hive no pollen on legs 50%of bees with orange pollen on legs.never saw bees comming out with yellow heads before

The orange pollen could be dandelion pollen.
There's a lot flowering at the same time this spring. In four years this season has started really good, day 5 of my first flows.. The weather is going cold for a few days then the warmer weather is coming back from Wednesday onwards..

Yesterday I counted 40/50 bees collecting Nectar from the female willow trees at 4pm.

I went down to water the tunnel at 8pm and the girls were still foraging, with out the wind up here it makes all the difference for the bee's and the pollination of the trees.
The trees get pollinated by the insects rather than the wind.
Happy Easter to all!

My 2 hives at home are on the OSR and are the same coming and going with yellow heads.... The smell round the hives is lovely.
