First comb of honey and it tastes fantastic, light and sort of lemony, fragranty, flowery ........................Anyway, my question is how do you get the lids to stay on the pots? I push them on and they just pop off!!!!!
I've got quite a few so can someone please advise me. :willy_nilly:

If the lids wont stay on get in touch with the supplier as they are not fit for purpose.

It's my own fault I should have had more respect for my first honey. Should have had special jars, like some people on the forum.

Looking in their latest catalogue I don't see them. I wonder why? Nearest pots with identical lids are the 'Patterned plastic pots' page53. Never thought to try the lids, when I bought them a few months ago.

If you're referring to the cut comb pots, I found a lot of them did not fit properly, which is probably why they have these new ones that look much nicer.

if they are for cut comb, can I ask is there a size of pot or weight of comb that people stick to, or is it just a case of fit comb to what ever size pot you aquire

cheers

I've got the thorne pots for comb, the patterned ones, and had no problems. Just run fingers round edge to close and none have opened. In fact they're not always easy to reopen lol

Hurrah for Th*****!! Swapped the pots for a 14x12 Brood body for my WBC, and a super. Very Happy Thank you Th*****:music-smiley-026:

Well done, did they swap them without conflict, they done the same for me when I bought foundation and was cracked due to transporting in very cold weather, no hassle and very obliging lady

Very nice people, no conflict, very helpful, so glad they were so understanding. They have gone up in my book 100%.
Can't say enough good about them. What a relief, I thought I was going to have 300 useless pots on my hands. Now I can put the new brood box on next Spring.
WONDERFUL!!!!:hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray:
THANK YOU THORNES

have to give them the thumbs up too for customer care
I bought a flat pack national 14x12 complete hive
on opening realised that the 20 sheets wax super were missing, e mailed and was told they would be in the post (recieved 2 days later) but then on putting it together, the brood castelations were missing, another e mail and had them the next day:hurray:

as for the cut comb pots, I ordered the new ones and lids fit great
I see the old style are on special offer in the sales,

And I too have been impressed by their customer care.

Its a reliable way of retaining customers. Well, it certainly has worked on me!

And good service to me in New Zealand, excellent service although postage adds to costs - and crystal comb containers are good with attached lids.
