Cor, someone is went home with some posh silverware!

to all associations

Do any associations have a schedule that encompasses the use of a microscope?

There could be a section for pollen grains, bee anatomy and disease.
By opening up the schedule, it might entice members to take up microscopy as a sideline from beekeeping. Just a thought.

Most shows I've seen have competitive photography section, and I'm sure a display of microscopists work would fit into one of the craft sections.

Perhaps an enquiry with some show organizers would reveal more info.

I do agree more could be made of microscopy exhibits.

I would think the show would need a very large/wide membership to have any competition. Not many have a microscope in their beekeeping kit!

OK, we are the 'exceptions' group. I have 3 microscopes;one onto the 'puter, one very good old piece of precision equipment and the pocket 30x(?) mag which is useful but not for bees. I rarely ever use them, but they are there if I need to drag one or other out from under the side-board.

Regards, RAB
