The problem as I see it is that the beekeeper must stand very close to the sublimate at the rear or front of the hive so very good personal protective equipment is a must. A 12 volt electric one that takes a couple of minutes to heat up gives the beek a chance to get well away, upwind before anything nasty is produced, gas-wise.
