Over heating question?

I have poly hives with mesh floor and no roof ventilation, they get full sun from sunrise to pretty much sunset, never experienced the Bees having a problem, even the wooden type were ok.

Same, my insulation is 2" Kingspan fixed in deep 6" Norfolk roofs with vented space above insulation...that's due to my building surveyor training...you can almost fry an egg on a metal roof in high summer ( well not last summer LOL)

Hives would be very different if we had to apply L1A.
