Does my bum look big in this :)

The hives were busy today with lots of pollen coming in and tired looking bees carrying huge amounts of pollen. A few fly straight in but most seem to land on me or near/on the hive to have a rest. I guess it's because of the lack of nectar when they are out, just running on what they have eaten for breakfast?

Especially the last one! hahahahahahahahaaaa!

thats a big bee what species is it?
lol

On a happier note...

Absolutely brilliant pictures! Superb and well done. Any chance at all I could have a couple of these sent as jpgs/gifs? Would REALLY appreciate that. Sooo good.

Our foragers don't pack that pollen quite so neatly as yours, DickandDoris! ;)

Great photos.
Love the tabby mouseguards ;)

Same down south. I took this one with my phone today, so not very good quality I'm afraid. It amazes me how they can still find so much pollen in the middle of November. I'm now worried with all this flying they'll be chomping though their winter stores too quickly!
