Nuc. in July?

Would it be possible to aquire a bee nuc at this time of year or within about one month from now? I ask because I am planning on keeping bees and would like to get started this year.

Would the bees be OK if placed in a bee hive from a nuc this year?

I got my bees on 27th July last year; very pleased with their progress. As always, the weather can make a difference and feeding to build them up will probably be important. You are even further south. It is agonising if you have just one colony and a bad winter, though.
