Raspberry honey sets quickly in the comb rather like our dear friend the OSR

Blackthorn bursting here. My victoria plum has just come out as well

I've actually found one now so my question is irrelevant. Just one though and last year there was yellow everywhere so it's been an interesting issue. I've never really taken note of what flowers when before so it's all a learning curve for me.

The growers I have spoken to said that last year they tried without the seed dressing, and found that between the insect pests and the pigeons they were just spending money feeding the wildlife, and have switched to peas and beans.

Nothing wrong with field bean honey, apparently.

So far it's all a bit stop, start with the blossom. My Cherry blossom is out, the one up the road is just bursting, yet the Blackthorn has only just begun to show and it's usually out quite a while before the Cherry. Sadly, the Willow has been a bit hit and miss too.

Local cherries are mid-blossom; three local trees are over, our one (which actually produces cherries) is yet to flower.
