Honey for sale

Hi I am totaly new to this Bee Forum
I am just in the process of opening a new shop and I am looking for a local supplier of honey. I live in South Gosforth and I am wondering if you would be able to supply me wholesale honey and if not point me to any local suppliers please?

Thanks

David

Dave,

As the original post was made some time ago it's likely the poster won't return to this old thread. Suggest you PM (personal message) this person directly. You can do this by clicking over their name and one of the options will be PM them. That way your request arrives in their inbox.

Good luck.

Yes pm is the best way,the OP was last on the forum yesterday.

Will he be able to PM yet due to his number of posts?

I think I have it set at 3 posts to stop spam.

Any pm's from members with less than 3 posts direct to me and I forward them if they are not spam.

Mark.

Hi sorry to reply late just saw your message.

I have some left from this season but not wholesale quantities.

Give me an idea of what quantity you might be interested in.

Alternatively a Deli called 'MMM' in the Grainger Market is stocking mine & others produce you could try there.

For large quantities you could try Willie Robson at Chain Bridge Honey Farm outside Berwick.

Hi Aimin

have sent you a private message. Let me know.

I sold my first batch this year for £3 for 8oz and £5 for 1lb. I shall concentrate on 8oz jars as margin is better.
I will not be so generous to friends and family as I was in my excitement at getting any honey in my first year!!!

was a bit surprised to see local honey being sold for £6.50 a pound the other day - is this usual?

My local BKA Chairman's wife sold 12oz jars at a Garden Centre apple day for £6.50 for 12oz and they flew.........
I tried to put my first ever crop jars that I was soooooooo proud of up for £5.00 a pound and was told in no uncertain terms that they should all be the same price.

disappointing, isn't it! In the same retailers, they are selling cut comb for £8 a small box, they've sold out of all the £6.50 jars of real honey and want more! They'll fly if they are in the right place, we just need to find the combination that works - in this case, they'd value being able to claim it as their own honey, i.e. produced from the OSR from their farm, over how good the honey might be.
