Hi all just put a omf and entrance block from th@@n. been to check on the bees and there is a lot of bees under the hive .. Any HELP cheers Neil

Remove entrance block and scoop the bees up and place at the front, they will take a bit of time to get used to their new floor

It also may help to block off under the front of the floor - perhaps with an alighting board of some sort. Returning flyers may accidentally undershoot ...

"But, but, but, there's this big door underneath and we can smell all our friends, why can't we get in?"

Happened to me once or twice, ahem.

Open mesh floors - brought to you by Bewilderbee Enterprises! :D

Make sure there are no gaps around the edge of the mesh that bees can get through. We had this problem with the th0rnes floor with bees coming and going from a gap under the hive and ended up having to staple it all back together. The push pins really aren't enough!
