I have four original pre 2nd WW national broods and two super that belonged to my grandfather.
All are still used and the timber is very hard and they have at some time been dipped in creosote.
They are a very similar pattern to a commercial, just a bit smaller.

But not for his means of delivery.
In many if not all of the questions he answered with the word THINK it was fully justified. I've encountered beginners who asked the same question week after week in the training apiary but never bothered to remember what they were told.
