Mixing Soft Set - Spiral or “Propeller”?

Currently using a low speed mixing drill with a Thornes propeller mixing attachment. Are there any advantages to the spiral type mixer - or doesn’t it matter?

I reckon a plaster paddle mixer shape is the best.

Whatever you use makes sure it is not sharp anywhere. Filtering out tiddly bits of swarf is no fun.

I use a long wooded spoon, works well for me and never get a problem with frosting or fermenting.
