Am I the only one who noticed these people were not actually inside?

1.They were in Stoneliegh but not inside the BBKA convention.
2. If they're so computer literate & really interested in Bee Keeping, then how come no one on this forum has known the people behind this for years?
Surely they'd have posted thier idea of opening thier Auction here to thier friends themselves as members of this forum & the other Beekeeping forums? If they really were interested inbeekeeping?
3. Lets see, anyone can run a small auction on the web. costs the price of free software + websites cost next to nothing many are free. The upkeep is minimal. The punters are the ones uploading into Auction sites.
4. It's not that expensive to hire a few students to leaflet outside a convention - to do so doesn't mean affiliation to the convention although it may seem so.
5. All over the UK, thousands of leafleters are hired every year to leaflet outside conventions on subjects which are similar - it's called "Audience Targetting".
6. "Audience Targetting" is clever because the leafleters have training where they're given & learn "how 2 "be nice" handing out leaflets to as many punters as poss"

"Audience Targetting" is clever because the leafleters are chosen from people who are "very easy on the eyes" (either sex) & being good at flirting is part of the job. - it helps to change the subject, when I did leafleting years ago I was told to evade questions of the product by using the stock answer (givern in the days training) then by asking the punters personal questions like "are you enjoying this? or "what have you got so far?" and pretend to listen then break eye contact to turn my back & walk a few steps & continue leafleting even if someones talking to me as they'll get the "I'm busy" message eventually & they'll leave happy because whatever else I did "I Kept smiling at them".
8. With leafleting "Anything goes" to get rid of the leaflets & get the bonus & knock off as soon as possible.
9. I stopped doing it when I realised all I was doing was personally spamming people with leaflets of products I wouldn't use.
10. Again I say they've come from nowhere.
A commercial enterprise whose seen a niche market and is capitolising on it.

12. Online Auctions are out to make money not provide a service & they regulate themselves.

In the small print on many of Credit & Debit cards re-issued in the last 12months the Banks have hidden away a small sentence stating "The cardholder is responsible for any Web Card transactions until you report your card as stolen. & Any & All card transactions on the web are the responsibility of the CardHolder."
I suppose the Banks have had enough of paying out for web ID thefts.
I called my Bank & they verbally denied the statement existed.
Like you, I already know a verbal promise is worth the paper it's written on.
So, I took the small print into my branch & showed it to them -they said "it must be new conditionof the bank."
Like everyone, we all fall for a friendly smiling face. Then handing us a prity a card telling us "the website is specially for you" is easy for these personal spammers.
I used to do leafleting & I'm a member of Ebay through leafleting by a smiling face outside a computer conference years ago yet I've never tried to sell anything!
