Lidl's table saw is OK compared to the price. If you need a step better saw, you must pay 3 fold price. It means that they you get a broad saw table, that you may saw bee bow wide boards. And the table should be steady.

I have 2 Lidl saws and one 300 £ saw. It is guite quick to make hive parts when I have several set ups of blade at same time.

There are lots of table saws with that price. But before you buy, look how handy are set up systems in the saw.

In general German quality is good. German consumers do not accept what ever. Saws are made in China, but Germans have quality control.

At that price you get something that might reasonably described as both tinny and tiny; it is a table saw to sit on a table. Not recommended if you want build an oak framed garage or if you need the precision to fake eighteeenth century furniture, but for bodging an eke, or knocking up a Kewl floor it seems OK. There is a video of it on the Argos (who sell the same thing for almost twice the price) website. For slightly more than the price of a blade for a decent table saw the Homebase offering will suffice for some.

I actually went ahead and brought one. Tested it out this weekend cutting some boxes down to a smaller size. It's a pretty flimsy machine, the fence is terrible and has a lot of play in it, but nothing that's not resolved with a few clamps.

However, it got the job done fine in the end. I'm not going to be building any world class furniture on it, but it's more than good enough for bee hive modifications and construction IMHO.

If you make your own frame sticks, you earn the price of saw very quickly.


Guys, even if you get £ 2000 saw, I bet the you cannot do any furnitures.

When you buy polyboxes, it is handy to make own floors and roofs. Wooden material is easy to keep clean with torch.
