The Willow is breaking.
I hope it does here soon as the rabbits have destroyed what crocus are left, i was hoping to get some pictures today of the bees rolling around in the Crocus flowers full of pollen, sadly that was not the case so it is war i leave the bunnies alone in this area but i think they have picked the wrong Garden to have supper in.

Lol...the joys millet ...I was brushcutter two hughmungus sedge today...I sweareally they will not seed another year!!:hairpull:

Spring is here. I thought my bees were bringing in what looked like blackthorn pollen, but then I thought it cannot be because the blackthorn is not out yet. What do I know, in full bloom not far away. Must get out more!

Very busy working on the Hazels here, really buzzing with bees, longest I have seen the Hazel catkins for years, and the latest, no willow out yet.

...And they've found it :D

Lucky you or should i say lucky bees, two of mine are ticking over nicely but one could do with a boost in numbers and i don't think that is going to happen until the willow flowers, you should have took some pictures to make me jealous..

The willow has started to open and the crocus at last orange and white pollen going into the hive very busy today..

Two hives very busy here with orange and gold pollen going in. One hive - no activity at all. Checked all three for fondant as forecast is for more bad weather over Easter. The inactive hive had most of its bees on the crown board mooching around the fondant. They seem to be home bugs! Could that be because the queen may not be laying, may be dead or failed?
