Hi. I recently bought a Klarsteing Biggie urn for warming honey. I seem to be having a few issues and wondering if others have experienced the same. It seems to beep constantly when put on the continuous setting. It also seems to stay on when switched off. I think I will return it. Does anyone have experience with the Thornes warming blankets that wrap around buckets? Any good? Thanks

Having had a failure in my home made warming cabinet…more work required……I bought a blanket. It comes with a thermostat and seems a well made (but simple) thing. I haven’t used it yet.
I thought that as I will only need to melt one bucket at a time, it would suffice without adding more kit to the garage.

It's basically the same as my Lidl jam makers ...mine beeps intermittently when set on constant until it reaches the set temperature.

These are stupid questions but:

1. Have you got the trivet in the bottom ?
2. Have you got enough water in it ?
3. Have you set the temperature you require before you set the timer to continuous ?

If the answer to these is yes .. does sound like a fault - send it back !

Hi. Yes to all of those. I have noticed it seems to work properly with the switch in the off position. Perhaps the switch is for continuous boil?

I've just looked at the instruction manual on line - not that helpful I'm afraid, there is a UK distributor and a phone number - I'd give them a call and see if they can help as a starting point.

I've never seen one of the devices you have but is there any chance the switch you mention is clipped in upside down?

Or wired back to front ... there will be a third take off from the switch to the thermostat and that might not function properly as a result.
