You should see how it looks from the point of view of an outsider watching the forum wolves bite bits of a member.

Said in all innocence...

That's a bit rich for somebody who claims to live on Anglesey!

Yep! Very assertive about knowledge accrued, yet apparently no bees.

Who'd have thought that a simple enough question would run to >130 posts with a lot of name-calling and a forum ban!

How so ? Does coming from Ynys Mon somehow preclude me from awareness of its negatives ?
My god, if I'd have know that my apiary would vanish if I didn't fill in my profile, I'd have done it sooner. How stupid I have been to think that I could have ever acquired any knowledge on this subject before joining this forum. So much wasted time , but now I can begin to learn.
Really ?

Odd how it re posted much later the way I edited it not sure how I did that.

I thought you insisted that you were not you, JBG

This ones not the sharpest tool is he.
Here we go , just for you.
I'm not jbg , but have been accused of being him pretending to be my self.
Not so tough was.....................ahhhhhhh , he's sleeping .....

So was mine funnily enough - plays havoc with the dog's routine, she'd been waiting at the front door for ages and eventually gave up, I took her out for a mooch round the garden and lo and behold up turned postie - she went bonkers. How a grown man can be so afraid of a five lb 12 inch long dwarf miniature dachshund beggars belief!

...I had it in my head it was a nuc...

OK, YEAH RIGHT. A nuc. Not noticed the three previous posts that stated 'hive' and 'brood box'? Simple mistake for you? It crossed my mind to check it was not a nuc before posting and that was as clear as crystal to me.

Probably be frightened of a hissing cat, as well. Some might even be frightened of a tiny spider!

Sorry I'm late.....but I don't think A I Root mentions 'casts', just swarms. I think he just says subsequent swarms. I might be wrong as it's a while since I read it. Might be interesting to know when 'casts' were first mentioned in the literature, if that's the case.........right I'm off! :)

No I deliberately slipped in the mistake to confound you(insert sarcasm symbol).
But what does it matter why I said that as it had no relevance to anything that was discussed after.
Are you trying to connect that part of my comment to the debate on the importance of size in prime/cast definitions?
if so you're way of track. I had simply read many threads on different forums and convinced myself this swarm was put in a nuc.
Nothing more complicated than that, no grand conspiracy out to upset you.
What gives with the paranoia on this forum?

Me too. Maybe we should all walk away from this thread and leave the troll to it?
Troll? would that be...
