But is it really?
I always thought that of my nephew - until my sister told me that when I mentioned a fishing trip, they didn't need an alarum clock that morning, he may have seemed to spend his time in front of a computer screen, but the rest of the time playing rugby (albeit badly) and football (is there any other way?) and now in his mid twenties he spends his time out in the open air.
then my mother reminded me that I spent every moment I could with my nose in a book......
if I wasn't fishing, tending the horses, or doing carpentry stuff with my father, or out shooting/gardening with my grandfather.
I think we tend always to look for the worse in our youngs, and the establishment and press are happy with that as it distracts us from who is doing the greater damage.
