Hi Goran
Thanks for the offer. If you could find out where the 'evidence' is for the claims about lowering blood pressure for instance (that is where on the internet etc. ) then that would be very useful. I'm sure there must be others on this forum that find this interesting as a subject now it has been claimed to be a fact on the web page. I look forward to your answer when you have had time to retrieve the information. Till then
Kind regards dave:)

Hi,
today I was at the lectures and met same doctor. I asked him about statements with regulation of blood pressure. He said that in his practice has proven this statement true. If someone doesn't believe, let that person try and tell. He is sure that that person will see results. I was asking about literature, he said he works on preparing of book. So I will wait for his book also..
I didn't gave you some new infos.. Sorry..

.
According EU regulations you must have scientific evidencies about honey, that it reduces blood pressure, before you sell the stuff in that meaning.

And those evidences do not exist.

IT is very dangerous to offer honey as medicine. It is always best to go to doctor. High blood pressure is serious disease, and very often lethal.
.
Blood pressure is very complex system. It is connected to kidney hormones, which commands heart's working. Medicine affects 24 hours.

Hi Goran
First, thanks for asking the Dr. for his proof of findings that he claims to have. Having just read Finmans post (the one after yours) I agree with him that to claim something and to be able to prove something is not the same thing.
As he said in his own words, he is about to write a book. But again this is not scientific proof of his claim. I am sure now you have investigated these claims on our behalf, you will agree with us that as yet there is no proof that honey lowers blood pressure or 'cures' internal endocrine imbalances. I would be interested in your opinion of the subject though.
Thanks again Goran
Regards Dave:)

.
What we need here is common sense opinions.

Medical doctors have been educated 7-10 years. Then arrives a beekeeper with his honey spoon.

It seems that Goran does not know what means high blood pressure.

Anecdotes don't constitute evidence. When there is peer-reviewed research to support the claims, involving double-blind experiments, that's when you can make a claim about the health-giving effects of honey, but not before.

Would be appropriate to post here links toward scientific researches about honey and other bee products? Or it is useless..

If we don't try we won't know.. Or maybe the loudest has the right..honey is just inverted sugar solution.

You've been busy Goran!
An interesting subject I think you'll agree. My quick look revealed a whole plethora of food stuffs that lower blood pressure or have some other benificial effect on health. It seems to be comming down to just eating a 'healthy' diet of natural foods rather down to purely honey as the great healer.
Don't know what you think. (We can get blinded by our products as beekeepers though):)

By the way the neuraminidase (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25523147) in venom is being used in reserch into HIV virus as it breaks down the protein shell of the virus. Not as a cure for HIV as yet but they were looking into (year 2014) it as a preventative douche used in contraceptives. Not followed it up myself since reading the first paper.

I would say honey is as same as food and cure. But first we should use it as everyday food, then when needed is specific ways as remedy. I am laic in apitherapy, but I firmly believe in the "power of honey and other bee products". At least due to respect of my ancestors and traditional place of honey in society.

Hi Goran

Thanks Dave.
I found one quote:
" Heroism is virtue with which we defend ourselves from evil of others, and with humanity a man defend others from evil inside him."

Kind regards,
Goran.

Thanks for the references Goran. For me I think that is enough to be going on with for now.....some of us aren't as young as you Goran and we may not have enough time left to read all that you supply. :D
Thanks for the PM

Thanks for the references. Those from nih.gov are good, but some of the others are of questionable value. For example, they refer to treatments on mice or shellfish which does not at all mean that the effect is the same in humans, and their references are to poorer quality sources. There are definitely areas where bee products help, but many of the claims are quite unfounded. The quality publications show the antibacterial qualities and the positive effect on type 1 diabetes, but very little else.

Good point made, bpmurry.Aspartame....tested on apes. Apes have MUCH higher tolerance for the constituents than humans...but still got passed! Just my little moan folks!:)
