has anyone got experience of insuring an association apiary.

It will consist of 4-5 full colonies plus a similar number of breeding nucs & some suits and tools stored on-site.
We will be hosting taster & training sessions.

Any suggestions of insurance companies / policies?

Thanks in advance

prob best to ask the 'other side'

Join a bee keeping association , they should have all the insurance you need as part of the joining fees.

What type of insurance? Liability insurance in case the bees sting onlookers? Disease insurance in case they get foulbrood and have to be burned? Or insurance against theft/vandalism?

If an association is affiliated to "the other side" (sounds very dark....) I think that the insurance covers association apiaries etc. so it would be worth checking out. I have no idea whether it would be cost effective to try and get insurance directly from a broker.
