I'm intrigued - If Bees love to chew up Kingspan and Celotex why do they not do the same to a poly hive??

Poly hives are far denser material!! At least the quality’s ones are but even then they can have a nibble give them a rough edge or glimpse of daylight on an ill fitting nuc roof!!

Not even remotely cast in the same stereotypical mould...call me a spendthrift :)
Oh BTW you should try the Lidl 20m rolls of duct tape for 1.99....works out a lot cheaper.

What 10p/mtr for 50mm as opposed to 15p/mtr for 75mm width for a far superior product ?.. When you get to the bottom of the hole I find it's best to stop digging .. My bees are worth more to me than 20p for the average dummy board ...

I had bees that chewed their way out of a Payne’s hive. Chewed completely around the entrance block and the floor in front of the omf

# for a far superior product ?.. ...

The question mark is correct.....
Typical beekeeping close season.
Debating the cost of tape per meter....I Just counted my takings from today's Farmer's market..at just under £500 who gives a fig over a few pence per metre....
LOL

A good day by the sound of things..well done you..;)

As said bees will not chew through quality. You know my kit and I don't have issues. Never have had.
