Hello all,

Looking for ideas/plans to make a homemade honey warmer.

Thanks

Stan made me a honey warmer out of 50mm PIR. Basically it’s a box with a recessed lid big enough to take two 30lb buckets heated by a warming element from Thorne.

I use a decommissioned chest freezer fitted with a 40 watt cupboard heater and a 50c thermostat , warms honey, melts honey and also used in the manufacture of oxalic/glycerine strips , freezer is approx 520 x 520 mm square internal and is capable of holding 4 of the 20l square buckets

I use a brew pad from home brew shop, then but a brood box around it, if the bucket is taller just add a super box as well, i them lay a thick towel on top, 2-3 days lovely runny honey.
