We are a trusting lot us beekeepers
Thanks for the comment, nothing sinister here mate, i got the original poster's email address from a website that he was advertising to sell honey on (I have only approached him to buy what he was selling). I am a FE teacher and A1 assessor so I have to respect the data protection act on a daily basis and would definitely adhere to the act in my personal/business life as I do in my career life. Warm RegardsBearing in mind the original poster doesn't seem to have heard of yourselves before you emailed him I'm wondering how you actually got his email address in the first place. Looks like you may not be cognisant of the Data Protection Act which certainly rings alarm bells for me.

I get stung enough by my bees . I really don't like it so it makes me quite careful in other areas of my life.
General advice re scams via email is NOT to reply. The logic of this is that replying tells them that this is a live email address - and a live address is more valuable to sell onto the other scammers.
I rather think the same advice re calling any phone numbers back.
What price did you get?

Rightly or wrongly I have suspicions when I see a Hotmail, Yahoo email or similar used. It doesn't inspire confidence that the business will be around for long....or maybe I am just a little too cautious ?

That's me under suspicion then.
