I have a chance to scavenge some display stands that look pretty much like slatted greenhouse benches, the slats being 4 x 1 with 1" gaps between. Would these be good for hive stands, or would I be better knocking the boards off and just robbing the 4 x 2, to give more air flow through the OMF?
