Guaranteed many will go for the cheapest option or not think and it's the poor bees which will sufferDepends what material you use to print it. PLA isn't supposed to be that great outdoors although white PLA appears to last longer than coloured. The mount I made for my anemometer and wind vane, printed using white PLA has been outdoors for a few years now and is the only bit of the unit that isn't now falling apart
PETg or acrylic can be 3d-printed and are both UV stable as far as I'm aware and there are specialist filaments as well. From memory PETg isn't that much more expensive than PLA.
