...and all you need is a 3D printer...Beekeeping for all; anything for a quick buck...could only be across the pond.

Well I certainly can’t believe that was designed by a beekeeper!
$79 for the software programme to print it!
Now let me think ………………

I wonder if I could 3 D print some queens, now that would be useful
And 20k of workers along with 500 drones, for good measure some nice QC's for athenticity because boy they already look swarmy.

Makes our old friends Gardeners beehive look almost sensible. https://gardenersbeehive.com/

I have been plagued by this 3D Hex hive advert on FB for a few months now.

Question is, how UV resistant is this, how long will it last even before all the other questions are asked.

Depends what material you use to print it. PLA isn't supposed to be that great outdoors although white PLA appears to last longer than coloured. The mount I made for my anemometer and wind vane, printed using white PLA has been outdoors for a few years now and is the only bit of the unit that isn't now falling apart :D

PETg or acrylic can be 3d-printed and are both UV stable as far as I'm aware and there are specialist filaments as well. From memory PETg isn't that much more expensive than PLA.

Guaranteed many will go for the cheapest option or not think and it's the poor bees which will suffer

Love to know the definition of sensible and almost! At least they didn't use the word economical.
