Welcome, this was my first year, i did the training and now have three colonies.
Beekeeping has been really enjoyable and has opened my eyes further to the world of nature astound me.

We were vaguely in that area (between Toulouse & Bordeaux) in October and it was a rather sobering experience to watch Asian hornet hawking a couple of hives that we stumbled across. I tried to talk to the beekeeper but he was not home. Have you picked up any tips for dealing with them - there must be quite a few year's experience down there by now?
