Many Hants BKAs are running beginners courses starting in February, here are a few of them. (Information taken from club websites):-

Meon Valley Beekeepers (website) will be running our Introductory course for new beekeepers in 2014.
The course will be held at Warnford village hall, beginning Tue18th Feb and will cost £80 per person.

Portsmouth Beekeepers Beekeeping for Beginners Course 2014 website
This is an ideal course for "Potential Beekeepers" and "New Beekeepers". The room is now booked so the course will be starting on Wednesday 5th February for 8 weeks. so please hurry and register.

If you are interested in joining this course please send an EMail to John Storey --*-- to register your interest and you will be added to the list.
You need to be a current registered member of PDBKA , the contact is Rita Perry --*-- to join. (you dont need bees to join the PDBKA)
The course will run for 8 weeks for 2 hours each week starting at 19:30 in Portchester near the hall we use for monthly meetings. This course will not have an examination at the end, and not have a certificate on completion.

We run our own introductory beekeeping courses as well as courses in association with The Countryside Education Trust, followed by practical beekeeping sessions, lectures and regular monthly meetings throughout the year. If you are interested in this course please contact our secretary.

Beekeeping for Beeginners Course 2014 website
Each year we run an introduction to beekeeping course for complete "beeginners" that provides a complete introduction to the art and science of this ancient craft. The next course starts on 13th February 2014 and prospective beekeepers are very welcome to contact us for more information [see website].
 
Fareham & District Beekeepers Assoc
A course is run by the Association Education Officer, open to non-association members. It is held in Titchfield, near Fareham and starts next week. Part theory and then practical sessions in the season. Held once a fortnight in the evening for the theory and during the day on Sundays for the practical. Contact the association via the website:
