Hello

I am an Indian honey keeper living in London looking to export high quality natural honey to the UK. If anyone interested pleas let me know

you live in the uk and want to export to the uk ?

Eggzackerley wot I fort. That, and the fact that we already have millions of workers here that will be busy making proper honey. Far better than Indian stuff (which may well be Chinese, I've read?), too.:spam::spam::spam:

Are you in UK or on some other planet weain't heard of yet?

As a radio ham I over heard a QSO between a guy in the American mid west and a London UK station !
"Where you from bud ?" Asked the yank!
";London "came the reply!
Long pause then " Is thet upstate ?"
I know there's. probably 4 or 5 Londons in the USA but the call sign should have given the guy a clue!
Surprising how many are totally parochial :)

I would prefer that all honey imports to the Uk were banned. It might not have horsemeat in it, but some imported honey has antibiotics in it.

We have bees to produce honey, why would We be interested in getting involved with honey from another country? It is better for us to promote our own honey.

That would be a shame. Throwing out baby with the bathwater.
At the quality end of the market there are some truly wonderful honeys available that you won't find in the supermarket. Italian chestnut and Polish honeydew are 2 of my own faves.

Because we cannot produce enough honey, only a fraction of what is consumed.

We consume over 25,000 tonnes of honey a year, but only produce around 1,200 tonnes, according to a news item. And last season it would of been only a fraction of that, due to the weather.

Agreed. But as the majority are hobbyists beekeepers most would not want to get involved. Unknown provenance and sceptical due to news reports. Sorry but I'm out as they say on an entrepreneurial programme.

Instead of importing honey we could just sell imitation honey.
