If wanted I'm happy to compile and share a map of where people are, strictly anon of course, to help judge the best distribution points. Was thinking of simply asking via PM for postcode/nearest town and whether looking for more or less than 100 sheets. Good idea or not?

hope not! although my bee acount will be recovering from the Thornes sale today, it is a bit early to buy foundation.

I am happy to buy at any time of year, but given a choice, I would buy in February.

I am still interested in buying and helping with distribution. As I have said before I am happy to collect from KBS and pass the rest of the order on to the next person in the 'chain'.

Our BKA buys foundation in bulk and sells it to members at apiary meetings. This keeps the cost down, it makes a bit for the association, it's another benefit to attract new members and it encourages them to come to meetings.

Unfortunately I cannot give a ball park figure until I have numbers.

However I will go through this thread, total up the amounts on here, and phone and ask for a price. Obviously it will depend at the end of the day to what level we get to with regards discount.

I intend making the order in the first week of Feb on the basis that those who are taking part make payment with their order in the last week of Jan. In the event that we achieve a further discount then there would be a rebate.

with the thread 12 pages long already, it seems as if there should be a new thread with ONLY committed orders, with amounts and location of the purchaser (and if they can deliver to other areas), otherwise the thread will become very disolved with random comments such as mine!

Some people may not commit until they have a price... chicken and egg springs to mind. Going to the supplier and finding out the price breaks could be useful.

I will definitely buy as it is likely the price will be equal\cheaper than my normal supplier. Need to tot up what i need first though!

I have a vague idea of price breaks as I have (obviously) talked to the supplier.

He in turn so again chicken and egg, cannot give a firm price until I can give him a much firmer idea.

In January I am going to start a new thread which will be honour bound to comit on it to, an order. I am away on holiday so it will kick off about the 18th of Jan.
