I've actually seen some bees on our apple trees! Sorry for the iffy iPhone pictures, but if you're in the Worplesdon area these could be yours :)
 
bees, but not honey bees? Mining bee.....? Nice pics :)

Ha - I do remember thinking this one was a little on the small side! Ah well - shame the best pics of the bunch was of the wrong bee. :rolleyes:

Still nice to see though, I thought all that blossom was going to waste at this rate!
 
Yeah - not a honeybee. Honeybees at this time tend to much prefer dandelion and oilseed instead of apple.
 
Mine have been plastering one of my apple trees which is in blossom for a couple of days now, collecting a beige pollen
Other apple trees yet to open up.
However several large sycamores humming away with frantic activity,even though its pouring with rain.
