Any recommendations as to where to buy fondant online?
Just out of interest ... why fondant and why now ?

I like to make sure my hives are well topped up prior to winter but:

a) It's very early to be feeding colonies (still loads of forage around down here in the South).

b) I prefer to give them Invertbee to top up any hives that are light after the Ivy flow.

Fondant is your best friend if your colonies find themselves short in the early spring but if you get your feeding right in autumn you may not need it.

I'm not a fan of the current trend of slapping on a load of fondant on top of the hive in August and leaving it there all winter but I'm sure that was not what you were intending ....

Just thinking ahead really... My hives are pretty happy at the moment and, as you say, there is a lot of forage around. But I was just thinking about getting my ducks in a row for the autumn/winter.
Same here, why not be ready for all eventualities....that's what they keep telling us. ;)
