Bees still leaving the hives like crazy and the boxes sound like air conditioners in the evening. Bramble has gone but lots of clover and rosebay still. Need a little rain and the balsam should be good. Not seen too many white bees yet so the other stuff is obviously more attractive.

With the wet and warm weather I would expect bramble and clover to keep going for a while. Bramble is like that, you will see formed blackberries alongside open flowers.

Slowed right down here in Suffolk about 10 days ago, just odd flowers on the brambles, lime well over. Ticking over on runner beans, phacelia, russian sage and lots of other minor sources, probably no major flow until the ivy flowers now. Too dry for HB here, doesn't even seem to grow well by the river.

Bramble hybridises at the drop of a hat... I suspect its all a HoneyBee-Bramble conspiracy
shirley we should be told!

Some of the balsam around here is wilting in the arid conditions , likewise very few stripy bees returning!
However ,clover, purple, loosestrife , willow herb of two differing varieties ,plus goldenrod etcetera is keeping the colonies busy :)

Wish I could say the same, there is not much left here. Basically left with garden flowers, unless we get a bit more brambles if we get some rain.

I'm only a few miles from you and mine are still going berserk ... not sure what they are finding as I live in the middle of town but I suspect brambles and willow herb by the railway which is well within flying distance and lots of gardens/allotments with beans etc. They are all over the Loostrife and lavender around my pond as well. Funny how it varies even within a small area ...

Bees ignore HB at present. LOTS of others: rosebay willow herb, brambles, etc etc. etc..

I keep taking honey from a TBH: all replaced within a week...More honey this year to date than the total of the previous four..

My girls have were very busy today and have been filling comb even before it's fully drawn. They're situated just outside Romford in ESSEX, lots of gardens in flower near them as well as plenty of stuff along the railway embankment. Also there is a new wood planted across the road (new as in 10 years old) and there are stacks of wildflowers growing there.

Last couple of days of the lime. Then ....... Not a lot! But 200 lbs of lime will do me!

Mine are still apparently busy, but not filling much anymore. We are eating our brambles already. I am hoping for a bit of sweet chestnut with the heat and humidity. Still my most honey in six years.

slowed down at Brynmair and Garn cottage but the bramble flowers at carreg are still going strong - two hives which started as nucs early June have now got two and three supers on respectively - only just caught the 'weakest' hive in time as I hadn't been up there for ten days (when I supered it) and they had no space whatsoever left!!!

Unsurprisingly, its the same for me. Few 'ghost' bees, but bees remain very busy.
