Hi All
I have used polysterine strip on the entrance to reduce to about 3 inches since I moved the nuc into a full brood 3 weeks ago but past 3 days the bees are chewing it up and have created another entrance , should I remove and replace with wooden block or just leave alone, they are covering about 7 frames
Any advice appreciated

I would say replace with wood. Wasp season is fast approaching and you want your young colony to be able to defend itself...

They are telling you they want more of an entrance.

To close down a poly entrance use cushion foam. ;)

To make moving closures cut strips of flat wood to fit the width, thickness will be some 8mm (from memory) drill two holes through, pass through the holes some soft thin cord and knot off with a three or four inch tail.

To close in bees insert closure and push in, (cord acts as wedges) to re-open pull on tails.... KISS!
