Hi all

Basic question but I have forgotten.. Can you feed and do thymol at the same time?

Cheers!

Gary

I do believe one of the treatments (apiguard?) suggests you delay until afterwards but that's only because they may be put off it. If they need feeding then they should be fed.

You should ask HIVEMAKER the Prince of Porlock!
I believe he feeds syrup and thymol at the same time...................

No doubt there is a stikkly or link somewhere?

Good luck!

I sometimes find that they take down the syrup more slowly if there is an eke with apiguard separating the brood nest from the feed, but, this aside, there should be no problems...

Last year mine would not take down syrup whilst Apiguard was in place but they will eat fondant.

Apiguard is a mixture of thymol and fondant and fondant is a feedstuff - so what the hell?
