I don't see what the issue (or non issue really) is, it comes delivered with an approved converter - nothing needs fixing.

Everything we have purchased, Fritz, Swienty, Lyson has all been delivered with the approved converter plug.
A non issue really.

Good to see those suppliers providing the correct adaptor however what raised the issue was the supply to my partner of some catering equipment that did not come with the correct or any adapter. Hence the question.

I guess it depends if the catering equipment is classed as 'domestic' or not:

All domestic electrical appliances sold in the UK are required to have a BS1363 plug or conversion plug fitted.

I would say that first priority would be to contact the supplier of the mentioned catering equipment asking for them to supply the correct adapter.
