I'm just starting up (again) and I'm looking for a nucleus or colony at a reasonable price.

I'm aware of the chap at Castle Douglas (the Beeman) and if I have to buy commercially, that's probably where I'll go.

But I'd prefer to procure a nuc from a friendly amateur!

Hey folks, I am also in Cumbria and bee-less after losing my only small colony after the winter. Does isc26 have any more bees available?

Probably not - at the time he only had two that I know of and I took them both. You could try PMing him.

Failing that, the Northern Bee Auction - http://www.northernbeeauctions.co.uk/home.asp - has been postponed to 18th May. There should be plenty of nucs there.
