Before you get too excited I was shown this trick by a very highly qualified person, far more so than a mere BI.

All I am saying is it worked for me then.

As for granulated brood combs well what is your hive tool for? Bruise the cappings and the bees will sort it out for you.

Great, so the advise we give to all is stick your combs out and let the bee's clean em up, carry on then. I won't be though,ive seen the results. And now with ceranae,it will be worse. And as for mere bee inspectors,huh who needs them. We can see that all beekeepers and bee owners, are experts at disease recognition and control.

I put the crystalised combs in supers and stacked them on the GROUND. Not on or in a hive.

I have done thsi same and it is really bad idea. Better learn the new.
You can use supers as brood boxes. No problem.
