hi all
can someone tell me why the crown board that came with my nationals has 1 shallow side to it and the other side is deeper,im sure there must be a reason for this
:cheers2:

I would imagine that it is so that it can be turned one way or the other to suit both top and bottom bee space hives. Not both at the same time of course!

Does that make reasonable sense to you?

Don't make sense to me. For that to be right, ie to fit both top and bottom bee space one side needs bee space to accommodate bottom bee space boxes and one side needs to be flat for top bee space boxes. Why the CB should have spacing on both sides eludes me.

Lots of crown boards are now made with one deep side to allow you to put in trays of apiguard.
