There are actually three types, the third type is the asymptomatic one that ends up with the hive dying without apparent cause.
The only way to be certain is to perform a serological test.
The significant thing is that in the same hive they can present all three types at different times since the paternal genes (from the different drones since some may be more prone to infection than others).
