Hi, all I have noticed that some people mount the extractors on castors, is there a reason or is it just to make moving it easi

It allows the thing to waltz around a bit, without scuffing anything.
The alternative is to fasten it down to something very solid.

This is what I did, a pair of wheels (Tesco trolley) and swing them under for moving

Thanks for the :biggrinjester: I'll get some casters and give it a go.

The use of castors allows the imbalance of the frames to even out.

With its use it simply moves around in a small circle. If anchored down there is excessive vibration which needs strong force to contain it.

with the castors the machine cane be restrained by holding it with one hand.

It seems crazy, but try it, and you will be converted.

They are not there for ease of moving it but to make extracting more of a pleasure.

When I last used a 50 framer on casters it took a long walk around the whole room. Never again! bolted to the floor now. Not sure how it would be on a little 4 framer.

The same reason for wheels on a trebuchet ! :)
