I have just finished a National Hive and got it sited- so now ready for some bees,

I am being offered a Nuc of bees with and Overwintered Queen by another bee keeper (not a commercial company).

Can anyone tell me roughly how much I should be paying at this time of year?

Thanks,

robthos.

An overwintered queen should be bigger than nuc size by now!

Or is it a newly made up nuc with last year's queen stuck in; if I were buying a nuc now I would expect it to have this years queen.

Price for a decent nuc earlier in the year about £150 round here. I wouldn't pay that now for last years queen though.

I have double or single over wintered nucs in Norwich. With a new queens.
Or a couple of full colonies in hives.

Anywhere between £50 and £180
Depends on if they are doing you a favour or making money from their bees.
With last years queen I would be expecting 10 frames
