If there is one beekeeping book you would buy what is it?

I looked into this a few months back and found Ted Hooper's Guide to Bees and Honey was regularly advised. I bought the book and found it to be very interesting.

Since then I've been advised to get a book by Clive De Bruyne, which I most likely will shortly.

The 2 books mentioned above are about the best to start with!! There are others and some even older 1s that provide a good winters read but start with those 2

It would depend where I was in my beekeeping “career”.

As a beginner the Payne’s Manual is invaluable.

The David Cramp spiral bound Field Guide is an alternative practical book.

Later on it’s Hooper for me.

Hooper was my first and is still the one I recommend. Yes its not that basic but once you have bees basic is really too... basic.

I would also thoroughly recommend a copy of Wedmore for the lists, and also reading Manleys three.

Paynes? Shouldn't that be Haynes?

David cramp field guide is ok I got advised on here to get that but I've also bought buzz about bee's by Tautz which is a very good read it's a biology book and once you've got your head around some of the word meanings your fine .
I've also bought some natural beekeeping books but there not for everyone .
I think the best information you will find is the knowledge on the beekeeping forum.uk .
Real life day to day experiences of beekeepers what more do you want.
